Getting to Cambridge

Stansted airport has easy transport links to Cambridge by rail (approx. half hour journey) and coach (approx. one hour journey). Other London airports such as Luton, Heathrow and Gatwick are also connected to Cambridge by rail and coach, with longer travel times.

Hire cars: Information about car rental services at the London airports may be found on the appropriate airport websites. Cambridge is serviced by the M11 coming up from London. For the Centre of Mathematical Sciences, take the third Cambridge exit, which is junction 13 on the M11.

Getting around Cambridge

Most places in Cambridge are easy to reach on foot. Bus routes can be found here. Uni4 and Citi4 are the only routes that stop near the Centre for Mathematical Sciences. Bikes can be hired from for example Station Cycles. Taxi numbers include 01223 715715 (Panther) and 01223 704704 (camcab).

Alternatively, you may wish to bring your own bikes (please be aware certain trains have restrictions on travelling with cycles and/or require reservations).
